Hello Miami! It's officially March and there are many things coming up that suit all age groups. First off I would like to say that without technology I probably wouldn't have known about these upcoming events. I have heard about these through E-mails, text messages, and even radio. Now you can have the knowledge of all things Miami at your fingertips including this blog!

The events I have listed occur annually every March. These are some of my favorites:

1) The Miami International Film Festival- This film festival presents films from over 50 different countries. This event is often held at the Cosford Cinema at the University of Miami, The Tower Theater in Little Havana, and the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts.

2) Calle Ocho- Otherwise known as Eighth Street, this is a huge event in Miami because it celebrates Hispanic culture. Music, food, and culture fill eighth street for as far as 23 city blocks. It is held between 4th Avenue and 27th Avenue on eighth street.

3) The Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition, Inc.- This is one of my favorite events held in Miami every year right next to Florida International University. Rides, entertainment, food, and games are just a few things offered at the fair. It starts March 17th all the way through April 3rd. What I like about this particular event are the different options offered to people of all ages. There are rides for kids all the way up to adults.

I'm posting a few links to websites that will offer you more information.

Welcome to my blog!

Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Blogging, E-mailing, Calling, Texting, Television, Radio and Youtube are a few ways that people can get involved with almost any topic or subject in the world. Modern day technology has revolutionized the way in which we communicate. Although there are plenty of things to talk about, I chose to talk about what happens in one of my favorite cities, Miami. There are so many things to do and so many ways in finding out how to get involved. My blog gives people a chance to give feedback on all things Miami. How did you hear about it? How do you plan on getting the word out? Do you think that technology is a huge factor in making all of these events possible?

Miami is one of the most notorious cities for parties, culture and social events. Almost anyone who has ever lived in Miami or visited Miami would know that this city if full of life and holds an energy that most cities can't compete with. Miami has history, culture, flavor, and style. It's a unique city that gets visited by thousands of people every year and it should come as no surprise. Miami is known for its beaches, hotels, night clubs, and restaurants. Miami offers an extensive amound of attractions that fit all kinds of preferences. From jet skiing, to sporting events and clubs at every corner, Miami is sure to appeal to everyone in its own unique way. This city is so popular that it has become a "home" for big name celebrities and a vacation destination for most. From movies to songs, Miami is recognized as "the place to be."

Well, we know Miami is a unique city with plenty of things to do but when are these events held? Where is the new grand opening of the hot new restaurant? Which club is offering a celebrity guest appearance? When does the jazz festival start? Not to worry, all those questions can be asked here! With the help of modern day technology its so easy to follow, comment, and research on all things Miami.

It can be hard to keep up with all the things to do in Miami since it is such a big city but this spot gives you the opportunity to receive information as well as give input on what to do, or even what has been done. Most people find others' reviews an important factor in their decision making. I want to offer that chance for people to comment on the charity event they participated in or the comedy show they loved or maybe even hated. With technology just like this blog or any other form of technology that I mentioned earlier, it has become so easy to find out what is happening in this unique city. Go see a show, root for the "Heat", dance all night, or indulge in a savory meal on the beach, the choice is yours.

Bienvenidos a Miami!
